Hello ladies and gentlemen.! The Tech Masters Guild is proud to present its latest Fan Map creation titled "Black Dawn". Black Dawn represents the Entropy
(Black) and Order (Dawn) of this sector in Ixa space. The layout of the map was designed with the Ixa in mind. Notice the eight jump lanes that intersect the
Star Chamber.  These jump lanes twist at the ends where they connect to the minor planets much like Ixa tenticles. Other Ixa features include 3 new planets.:
Consortium, Luma, and Planet X. These new planet types are explained in the section below the map.

Map names include those of our esteemed guild members as well as those of the honored participants in the Badlands Tournament 2: The Bergault Starfield. I
was short one system so I dropped Mcfungos into the black hole just like he he dropped from the tourney.

I hope everyone enjoys viewing the map as much as I enjoyed creating it.

The card concept for "Tech Fusion" was an inspiration I had before the Marks came out with Descent. Players are always looking for ways to increase their tech
and Tech Fusion fills that need. It is similar to the Labs of old in that you have a 2 turn tech penalty in order to get that coveted tech boost.
Planet X is a minor planet at which the Ixa have done experimentation with the Tech Fusion Device (coming soon). Planet X gives its owner two tech in
any category and does not generate build points or destiny. Each turn players choose which tech they want for the remainder of the turn. This gives
them the ability to change tech to meet their needs as the game progresses.

Alternate Homeworlds work like Storyline abilities. You create a deck with a chosen race but when you create or join a game you will have a drop down option to
choose an Alternate Homeworld. Choosing one of the Alternate Homeworlds basically replaces the natural racial abilities of your chosen race with a new ability.
It does not affect your chosen races tech break throughs.

Racial AHWs give the player a deployment bonus at their Homeworld. That bonus is equal to -1 tech in each native tech category for the first card/cards
deployed at your HW each turn. Example: Arboria, the Omior AHW, gives players a -1 Life/-1 Mind deployment bonus. That means they could deploy a 1 Life card
and a 1 Mind card, or a 1 Life/ 1 Mind card for free each turn. Another option is to take -1 Life/-1 Mind off of a higher cost card. A card that normally cost 1
Life/3 Mind would only cost 2 mind if deployed at Arboria.

Tech Homeworlds give players a +1 permanent tech breakthrough at the beginning of the game.

The tricky part of Alternate Home Worlds was figuring out how to make things fair for all races. Omior would have to give up their +1 Destiny bonus while races
like the Androids would not have to give up anything at all. The solution is simple. When players choose an AHW all ships built (not deployed or created) at their
HW or Industrial Planets are of the standard variety with standard build costs ie: have the same stats as Humans/ Ferrier cruisers and scouts and have no
special abilities. The only exception would be the Silica. They will have their regular ships. However, they only regenerate 2 hull per turn and can not regenerate
the first 6 hull damaged. Cards or abilities that boost hull regeneration will regenerate the first 6 hull using the bonus rate only after all other hull has been
regenerated.

Now that you know how Alternate Homeworlds function, think about how they can change the game. Homeworld deployment decks. Splashing made simple. The
possibilities are as exciting as they are numerous!

The Tech Masters Guild map is unique in that it has a new planet type called the Indyfact. The Indyfact is a combination of an Industrial Planet and Artifact
planet producing, Build Points, Tech and Culture.. Indyfacts come in three types. Type A produces 2 BP, 1 Tech, and 2 Culture per turn. Type B produces 1 BP, 1
Tech, and 3 Culture per turn. Type C produces 3 BP, 1 Tech, and 1 Culture per turn.

Another unique feature of this map is the Planetary Asteroid Field which surrounds the Indyfact planet Alien Probe. Planetary Asteroid Fields deal 6 missile
damage to local ships each turn but do not destroy persona that are left there. Ships built or deployed at Industrial planets in a PAF do not take damage from
the PAF on the same turn they are built or deployed.

Torn Space is an Entropy card that allows players to ditch an extra card each turn. I created this card with Graviton Beam & Dimensional Research in mind. It
had a deployment cost of 2O 2E. Graviton Beam used to be an almost viable alternative to Mounted Laser and Death Ray...almost. With the advent of Mounted
Pulse Gun there is no reason to use Graviton Beam ever. Dimensional Research is a good card to help keep pace with desitny but there really is no reason for Ixa
to ditch cards on a regular basis without a card like Graviton Beam. I made this card unique so you couldn't abuse Dimensional Research and it returns a card to
your deck so that Secrets of the Gholax does not become overpowered. Because it is unique I gave it the ditch effect.
I thought about it for a while and realized that all the Entropy races have some type of Hole in Space type card and thought how cool would this be with
Spagettification. Now it is 4E.

Fan Map: Mobius by Leto

Leto, like myself, is a fan of all things Star Chamber. He created
this map from a dream he had and was gracious enough to allow me
to rework it.

I colorized the Nexus which are programmed to only transport
ships to a Nexus of the same color.

The two Homeworlds are Nexus and New Earth. See below for
details
